Harvest Ready

With the 2021/22 Harvest commencing, our farming based community members are getting harvest ready. Calrossy Foundation is excited to launch a new fundraising initiative that operates in conjunction with our current awareness activities, to provide additional funds for the betterment of Calrossy Anglican School. Since the Calrossy Foundation was launched in 2019 our donors have supported us with significant investment into new buildings and resources to the benefit of our students.

The Calrossy Foundation continues to grow and mature with the ongoing generous support and investment of our community, including Alumni, current and future families and staff. With the support of our donors, Calrossy Foundation invested in the construction of the new Multi Use Classroom Block, supported more than 12 scholarships/ bursaries and contributed new resources  for our school libraries. Calrossy Foundation Chair Mrs Karen Madirazza said, “It is my privilege to chair Calrossy Foundation and work with a committee that is so passionate about bettering opportunities for the students and families across our Calrossy community.”

This harvest season we are asking our community to consider donating a tonne or more of your crop to Calrossy Foundation. All donations can be transferred to through our National Grower Registration (NGR) and are tax deductible. Your donation will then be shared equally across the four funds of Calrossy Foundation (Building – Scholarship – Bursary or Library), investing in the generations of tomorrow.

Calrossy Board Chair Mr David Lamb said, “The Calrossy Board is incredibly appreciative and grateful for the investment of Calrossy Foundation. Our Board is focussed on the future, planning what the Calrossy of tomorrow will look and feel like. We are able to continue this planning with the added certainty that Calrossy Foundation is engaging with our wider community in a meaningful way, providing valuable financial support, where possible. I am pleased to report that the next phase of the Calrossy Master Plan will commence later this year with the construction of an additional building worth $6.1 million, to be ready in 2023.  This building will incorporate a 300 seat tiered classroom, Music facilities and Learning spaces that will provide added flexibility for our academic staff and provide wonderful learning spaces for the students.”
